About Me

I am an aspiring Systems Designer with a strong programming passion for creating engaging and immersive experiences. Most of my public projects are school-related with the exception of MUGEN content I create as a hobby. My public MUGEN content is published primarily on my MugenArchive account and Patreon that currently has a follower count of 33. Though my following is less on MugenArchive, my reach is a lot greater in the community.

A lot of what I focus on in my designs is combat systems, i.e.: entity stats, leveling mechanics, pathfinding AI, combat AI, etc. These systems are my preference to manage because I love to see my creations not only move from point A to point B. But to do so with a purpose.
One other major thing I focus on is the design of the system itself. Things like the UI, physics, controls, etc. While less of a preference, I do like to spend a large amount of time making sure the framework of my game feels smooth or simple for a player to manage.

Highlights

Catnip Criminal

Solo | Unity 2D | 1-week sprint

2024

As my first public 2D game, there was a lot that I learned from this, but also a lot that I feel went well. Namely, the 2 standard enemies that can be encountered on each level. I feel that their AI, detection ranges, and attacks all turned out well. Alternatively, the way I made the terrain caused a lot of collision errors that I feel I fixed in later projects.

FreezR-Burn

Solo | Unity 2D

2025

This project, I applied a lot of what I learned from Catnip Criminal and the gameplay is much smoother. A lot less collsion boxes were used for terrain tiles, enemies spawned pseudo-randomly, and the player was given options to customize their experience (controls and sound).

Urban Engines: Baltimore Drift

Team | Unity | 95% code contribution | Group 2D

2025

This game is the first project where I worked collaboratively with others (4 others specifically) to create a game. Furthermore, this game was created in response to B-360's request for a game that was both educational and fun.
Though this was a group project, the rest of my team was art focused. While they did help a little, this left me in charge of most of the code behind the game. The main challenge with this game was surprisingly the physics of the side-scroller (fun) section. In past projects, I would normally have a character that would stop the instant the forward/backward control wasn't being pressed however for this game, we wanted the bike keep moving if the player stopped pressing a directional control.
